Burn Smarter, Not Harder
Tips from the candle pros to help you get the most out of every candle.
-
Burn Mindfully
Burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time to allow the wax to fully melt across the surface. This prevents tunneling and helps it last longer. For safety, stop burning when about ¼ inch of wax remains in the jar.
-
Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼–½ inch. This helps ensure a steady flame and clean, even burn. Be sure to remove any trimmings from the wax before lighting.
-
Snuff, Don’t Smother
Use a candle snuffer to safely extinguish the flame. Avoid using the lid or blowing it out, as that can cause smoke or wick issues.
-
Store it Right
Keep your candles in a cool, dry, and dark place when not in use to preserve scent and wax integrity. Proper storage makes a big difference.
